Located near the shores of Ramsey Lake in Bell Park, the Amphitheatre is the ideal location for a special event, fundraiser or celebration. It features fixed seating for 561 people and grass seating for an additional 1,400. A new sound and lighting system, covered stage and change rooms are available to take your event from functional to fantastic. Local musical entertainers are invited to apply for an opportunity to perform during the annual Bell Park Concert Series. The series runs from June to August, with concerts taking place on Sunday evenings from 7 p.m. to 8:15 pm
Priority will be given to entertainers who meet the following criteria:
• Entertainment is appropriate for all ages
• Entertainment demonstrates collaboration amongst artists
• Performances have minimal logistical requirements, ensuring the concerts can remain a free event for the community
• Entertainers represent the diversity and culture of Greater Sudbury.
Concerts are held at one of the three locations within Bell Park: the William Bell Gazebo, the Katherine Bell Gazebo or the new Amphitheatre. The venue selection is determined by the city based on criteria including: size of performing group, expected attendance, technical requirements, and the availability of locations.
Performing groups will receive a small honorarium as compensation.
