Call For Entries – La Cloche Art Show

You are invited to enter the 39th annual La Cloche Art Show. This juried show will accept work in the following eight categories; Oil, Acrylic, Watercolour, Pastel, Coloured Pencil and Drawing, Mixed Media, Photography and Sculpture. SPARC: Symposium 2016 Call for Proposals

The SPARC Network is very pleased to announce that plans are moving forward in hosting the 2nd Symposium for Performing Arts in Rural Communities this October, in the beautiful Haliburton Highlands!! To that end, find attached the SPARC Symposium 2016 Call for Proposals. The intent of Symposium ’16 is to once again attract a broad spectrum of rural performing art creators, producers, presenters and animateurs to collaboratively consider their experience in order to improve it. We want to hear about what you have done from the particular perspective of what you have learned from your experience that can be of.

Sudbury Arts Council Hopeful City Council Will Support Affordable Housing Initiative in the Downtown

“We have been working on this initiative for four years. It is the first major project to address affordable housing needs in the downtown. We hope to have up to 50 rental units available by fall of 2017. This project is designed to attract creative professionals to live in our downtown. We need City Council’s financial support ” Linda Cartier, President, Sudbury Arts Council. Overview Artsjunction is an affordable housing initiative for creative workers located in the downtown core of the City of Greater Sudbury. Artsjunction will provide up to 55 living spaces for professional creative workers. Thirty of these spaces will be designated at affordable market rates.

Submit your application at www.queenwestartcrawl.com to be a part of this juried art show along with some of the most well known artists in Canada, annually drawing 80,000 people to its various events! The 14th edition of the Queen West Art Crawl will take place October 1-2 in Trinity Bellwoods Park, 790 Queen St. West (corner of Strachan and Queen). All different artistic media are accepted, from painting to metal art, photography, digital media and jewellers. Artists are selected by a jury of prominent community leaders including gallery owners, art professors and well-established artists. The deadline for applications is April.
